There’s a number of benefits of cooking your own foods, but perhaps my #1 is that I get to control all of the ingredients! This allows me to eliminate unnecessary fillers that may not be needed to achieve the desired result.
In this case, I was craving something crisp with a little heat, so I whipped up these Spicy Sweet Potato Chips and yogurt dip. I got my fix and saved about 70 calories and 7g total fat #winning. You can use any low calorie dip that you enjoy, the one I created here was just from ingredients I had at home. After all, i’m not exactly making trips to the grocery store these days just to pick up a bottle ready dressing!
A healthy lifestyle is built around balance, enjoy the foods you love and feel good about it!
