Power Chia Waffles

Jun 2, 2020 | Breakfast

What’s your favorite waffle topping?

I love waffles, I’ll enjoy them for breakfast and snacks. But I’m kind of picky about the frozen waffles I choose.

First, I look at the ingredients. I look for some kind of whole grain, whole oat ingredient.

Next, I go up to the fiber, I’m looking for at least 3g per serving.

Finally, I don’t want any added sugar so I look for the least amount of added sugar possible.

My favorite brand is @naturespathorganic (not a paid post) I just really enjoy them. The Flax Oat & Ancient Grain variety are crunchy and choc full of good nutrition.

 Upgraded waffle stats:

·      2 Nature’s Path Organic Ancient Grains waffles

·      4 oz. fat free coconut Greek yogurt

·      ½ cup fresh blueberries

·      1 tsp chia seeds

Nutrition information: 306 Calories; 17g Protein; 47g Carbohydrate; 8g Fat; 378mg Sodium; 8g Fiber

Using my method to a “Feel Full Plate” by choosing high fiber, high protein foods can help you feel fuller longer and make it more likely that you stick to your calorie goals!
